SNS Live Focus Group

I have put the video footage of my focus group on YouTube, due to the loading speed of Eblogger being to slow to upload a 1.24GB video file. Whereas YouTube is video server that has been specifically built to handle large video files.

Call Sheet No.: 2

Call Sheet Number: 2
Date: 22/10/2009

Call Sheet Explanation:

Both me and Luca have been helping each other with our projects. Therefore our filming sessions where a lot longer than others, due to all the anchor shots, reporters introductions, headlines introductions for one news program and then the other. In addition to this, disprution from the builders affected our filming plans because we had to wait for them to stop drilling, then quickly recorded the needed footage. As a result we spent all day filming.

Technical and Logistical Problems:

22/10/2009: Both me and Luca were in school for 8:40am, ready to film at 9'oclock once the equipment had be collected from the Media Technician, Howard Davis. However we were not able to find him. After fourty five minutes of looking for him, we found him back in his office, where he was the able to give use the equipment we required to film. As a result we started to film an hour later then scheduled.

In addition to this, while filming in the 'Green Screen' studio the light from the sun would come through the blinds that were put there for light to not come through. This was a major issue because the sunlight on the green paper would make Final Cut Pro not key it out, due to it looking white.
To overcome this we had to wait for the sun to go behind a cloud so we could carry on filming. Hence us being a little bit behind schedule.

Another problem that was encountered is a lorry parking right in front of the school banner, which was one of the items in the mis en scene and the most important one. This further delayed our filming plans. Consequently we had to wait for the driver to move the lorry, which took ten minutes.

The last problem that was encountered today was the noise created by the builders. This had an affect on our filming because it was being picked up on the microphone. We had to wait for them to stop, in order to film, due to contract that says they are allowed to film after school hours. Again having an impact on our filming.

Date: 19/10/2009

Technical and Logistical Problems:

19/10/2009: Both Mohammed and Tyrell did not manage to fill in their contract. This meant that we were not able to film, due to the fact that they could drop out at any stage of filming. However with a contract the liklihood of this happening is not as high.
